Meta's Commerce Lead, Stephane Kasriel, announced via Twitter that the company was "winding off" their efforts to help NFTs on the platform to enable other ventures to be launched. This means that Instagram and Facebook applications for social media, are no longer allowed to display, showcase and distribute their digital tokens.
Kasriel has since stated that this change would only last "for the time being," It may suggest that the difference may be only temporary, particularly for those dependent on or heavily using this feature.
The team first announced the feature in 2022. it's been just a year since it became available to creators and the general public when it first appeared on Facebook.
Meta is to Center on Creators, People Ventures
As described by Kasriel, the founder, it will focus on creating more opportunities for users enjoy, especially for people, creators, and businesses to succeed using its platforms. One of the company's primary goals is to enable messages and earn money through its Reels feature on the two platforms, Facebook and Instagram.
The executive also said that it would develop fintech tools shortly, beginning by launching the MetaPay.
Meta's Fondness of the Digital World
One of the main characteristics of Meta is the capability to step into a completely new world. Specifically, it is a digital world through the variety of experiences available through its products and platforms.
Social media allows the world to connect with family and friends remotely and through Oculus' " Horizon Worlds" experience, allowing users to connect to the world on a more advanced platform.

The public and creators could show their admiration for NFTs through their profiles or posts on Facebook and Instagram; however, this feature has been removed for now. The company plans to reduce its resources and attention to other features geared towards people instead of its Support for digital tokens currently getting into the trunk to make room for other ventures.
